Srinagar, May 29 (KNO): Kashmir’s Chief Cleric Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Thursday said the private ventures are the key element for economic revival and employment generation of Kashmir.
Speaking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) at the inauguration of first ‘Aslam Chicken’ outlet in Karan Nagar Srinagar, Mirwaiz said private ventures not only beautifies the landscape of the city but also creates job opportunities for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
He urged the business community of Kashmir to invest into vital sectors like education, agriculture, tourism, and hospitality. “Due to the limited educational infrastructure and opportunities, our students are forced to migrate outside J&K for higher studies. If the private sector is further improved, we can strengthen our institutions and reduce this outflow,” he said.
Mirwaiz further encouraged the younger generation to work with honesty, hard work and dedication, adding that the entrepreneurship and ethical business practices can lay the foundation for a resourceful economy in the valley.
